ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can white beans, in tomato sauce
- 1 (19 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 2 (10 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
directions
- Brown ground beef, (I like to do a huge batch of ground beef using Tish's recipe#31008 and it works perfectly) place into a Ziploc bag and throw into the freezer.
- The night before serving, defrost overnight.
- (I usually don't, but some people argue that cooking frozen meat in the crock pot is not safe.).
- Throw everything into the crock pot and cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-7 hours on low.
- Garnish with cheddar cheese and serve.
- I will sometimes serve this on buns as sloppy Joe's.
- **If desired you can make the entire recipe and freeze already made, then heat to serve. This recipe freezes great!**.

If you want your chili to taste like tacos with beans then this is the recipe for you. I won't be making chili with taco seasoning or condensed soup again. On the plus side it is easy to make.

Worthy of ten stars! I have made this so many times, I've lost count. I use one can of chili beans instead of the white beans in tomato sauce, two cans of kidney beans, and I always use Morningstar Farms veggie crumbles instead of the beef. Couldn't be easier, and everyone loves it.

I broke in my new crockpot with this recipe. It was wonderful; I did add some red pepper flakes and some cayenne to it to spice it up a bit since DH and I like it a little spicey. The consistency and taste were great. I also added about 1/3 cup of chunky salsa I had lef in the fridge. A winner in my book; and a new recipe for my crockpot cookbook!

Not bad. Very tomato-y. I'm glad I used homemade taco seasoning so I could control the amount of salt. I think it would have been too salty otherwise.

This turned out surprisingly good. I used one can of regular tomato soup, and one Ranchero Tomato soup (all I had). Couldn't find white beans in tomato sauce, so just used regular white beans. Added a little salsa to make up the difference. Will make again!

I've made this a couple of times and it was a really good basic recipe. I usually don't like slow cooker meat recipes, but this is one I will make again. I left out the taco seasoning and used chipotle chili instead. I also added some canned tomatoes for one of the tins of soup. I cooked it on high for 3 hours. Thanks a lot for the recipe.

This is the first time I made chili for my family and they absolutely loved it. It was incredibly easy to make..and I substituted some Tapatio hot sauce for the chili powder. Awesome Recipe!

excellent quick to make chili. As preference we omitted beans and replaced with 1 can hormel no beans chili...seasoned with a little more chili seasoning...Everyone loved. thanks
