The pic looks like it has carrots in it, but I don’t see carrots as an ingredient. I’m a bit confused.

Love this recipe! My husband and I swear by it. I am wondering how this recipe could work with an Instant Pot?

Tweaked this recipe a bit and lioved the end result. Used Hot Turkey sausage instead of pork and used no green peppers.

Also added in a 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin and a 1 tsp of Ancho CHile powder (in addition to all of the other spices)

cooked in the crock pot for 10 hours and the result was fabulous..I am on my 3rd day of eating it and love it with some cheese, a lil sour cream and some tortilla chips to scoop it up.

My husband HATES all beans except green beans, so this is the best. I make it all the time. I do add half a can of chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce for some heat, and half of a Busch Apple Beer for some taste. Great recipe! Thanks!

Loved your recipe! Although I added some extras, the base of this is so amazing. I added 1 lb of sweet Italian sausage, an additional pound of lean ground beef, 2 carrots sliced thin, 1 small can sliced black olives-drained the juice, and 1/2 cup of golden raisins. You’re probably thinking, raisins in chili is weird” but my Hispanic grandmother used raisins in her tamale meat mixture. My dad started to put raisins in his chili and it’s incredible so I copied them. I emplor you to just give it a try. Sooo good!

This was really good. Omitted the celery.

I've made this multiple times - always in Le Creuset on the stove top. As I type, I have 2 pounds ground beef, one pound hot sausage, and one pound sweet sausage simmering away with the rest of the ingredients. I add a can of green chilis and that's about the only change. Sometimes, I add a little stock to allow the simmering to go on for hours and truly blend all the flavors without getting too thick. Great recipe!!!

I can't stand beans or macaroni in chili, so this fit the bill pefectly. I like to try other chili recipes & am happy I tried this one 'cause it is VERY GOO!!! I used green chilies in place of the green pepper & I didn't have any red pepper flakes, so I used hot sauce instead. The results were GREAT...will most definately make this again!!! THANKS for sharing!!!
