Being that the pressure is released the cooking is all done with steam minus pressure. If that’s the case couldn’t the eggs be placed in a typical vegetable steamer basket set over a pan of water?

Learning to use my IP and decided to try this out. OMG, what have I been missing! So fast, easy and peels like a dream. The perfect texture with no rubbery feel or that dreaded gray, green circle around the yolks. 3 minutes to the perfect hard boiled eggs.

My new favorite way to hard boil eggs! It's so much easier than the traditional stove-top method!

If you have an electric pressure cooker without a basket or rack to put the eggs on, simply crinkle a piece of foil and place it in the pressure cooker to place the eggs on, then add the cup of water.
