ingredients
- 6 ounces shishito bell peppers, about 20
- 1 teaspoon neutral vegetable oil
- coarse salt, to taste
- 1⁄2 lemon
directions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 deg F for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, toss your Shishito Peppers with the oil and some salt in a small bowl.
- When the air fryer is preheated, pour the peppers into the fryer basket and set for five minutes. Shake or toss the peppers a couple of times while they cook.
- Remove from fryer. Sprinkle with some lemon juice and more salt, if needed.
- The software added the word "bell" to the peppers in the ingredients list, that's not how they are marketed in my area. For just myself, I grab a handful of the peppers from the vegetable bin, which is about 3 ounces.

We love these with Trader Joe’s everything bagel seasoning. I especially like to sprinkle soy sauce the last couple minutes before done. Yummy! Thanks.

We love Shishitos. I grow them and they produce quite a bit every day. I add pepperoni or mini pepperoni at the last 2 minutes to crisp up. We used to get these at BJ’s Brewhouse, that’s where I got the idea. I’ve never had with lemon. Next time!

In recent years I have been baking a lot of sourdough breads and have several starters sitting in my refrigerator. But I like to cook a lot of other things, as well, especially from various cultures.
