Buttered Parmesan Rice

ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 1⁄2 cups rice
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
directions
- In large saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Add rice, stir, reduce heat to low.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- In skillet, melt butter until lightly browned.
- Mix rice and parmesan cheese.
- Place in serving bowl.
- Drizzle butter over rice.
- Sprinkle with parsley.

Great rice, only thing I would change would be decrease the amt. of butter, we thought it was on the greasy side. Served this with recipe#85259 and recipe#78938

I`ve made this dish a few times now & its always a hit,its a recipe that leaves you room to fiddle with ie. adding garlic or other herbs etc.I love all your recipes MizzNezz....keep up the great work. Bubble

this is really good, but for us a bit greasy. That's an easy fix, next time I will cut back on the butter. thanks for sharing.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
